Czech FRANZ WELZ Scallop Fan Glass Vase Yellow Orange Spatter Art Deco Loetz era. A beautiful and rare scallop fan art glass vase. Made by Franz Welz - Klostergrab. This Czech vase is not signed, but would have had a paper label/sticker on it when it was made. The model can be found in factory documentation of the year 1928. The model number is 8917. This version has a beautiful subtle striped yellow color, with orange spatter towards the bottom. It has a distinctive black trailed glass border, which is also typical for these Welz vases. The inner layer is white/milk glass and the vase is cased in clear glass. It was made around the late 1920's, in the Art Deco era. Height, at highest scallop: about 8 1/4 inch / 21 cm. No chips, cracks or restores. Some very light wear/scratches to the bottom.
