This is a Loetz PN I-7830 (alt PN II-37) vase in the Crete Papillon decor that was produced ca. The décor was created by rolling the base green glass in silver yellow granules and reheating. The first pattern number (7830) was assigned in 1899 and then the design was carried over into the new series of pattern numbers (37) that was created in 1900. The vase stands 7-1/4" (18.4 cm) tall and measures 6-1/8" (15.6 cm) in diameter at the mouth. It has a 3-1/8 (7.9 cm) diameter base.
The item does show a very small flake to the base as shown in the last two photos. As you can see this does not impact how the vase would display. Otherwise, the piece is in excellent condition without further chips, cracks, flea bites, scratches, staining, or repairs. The color is described on pg.
The form was identified on pgs. 42 & 68 of the pattern drawings on the CD provided with the book. This book is the English version of the German original.
Photos 2-5 are of the vase as it was rotated. You may view our other items. You will need to select your preferred option at check-out.
