Welcome To The Antique Cabinet. For your consideration is a rare LOETZ Art Glass Vase in the exhilarating CYTISUS décor, circa 1902 with ALVIN sterling silver overlay. This well documented décor known as Metallic or Lemon Yellow has beautiful colors and iridescence. It has a lemon ground color with green horizontal waves that are accented with fine red/purple thread size lines. The array of colors is amazing having darker shades on the lower end which graduate to lighter tones as it extends upward. It is further enhanced with random oval/elongated silvery-gold oil spotting, which really contributes to this spectacular decoration. The bottom of vase is incised with the number 34 in the pontil.

The vase is finished with an ALVIN ca. The majority of the applied silver décor found on LOETZ vases was executed in America on vases acquired directly from the factory. The silver on this vase is marked of the highest standard 999 parts to 1000 Fine along with the #114 and the early ALVIN factory stamp. 7 tall by 3 at widest.

The glass is in excellent condition, free of any chips, cracks or repairs and very light age related wear. The sterling is in great condition with light age related wear - could use a light polishing.
