This is an absolutely stunning piece of Art Deco glass, for it to have been made in the late'20s is staggering. The artistry of Charles Schneider was ahead of its time, this looks like it could have been made in the'50s,'70s, or even today. After training in Nancy and working for Daum, Charles Schneider was equipped to design traditional French art glass, but he found it all together too constricting.
Initially finding the paradigm of the Art Nouveau too rigid he combined it with the Art Deco and create Le Verre Francais, arguably his career defining design. This vase is another example of Schneider's rampant creativity, part deco, part futuristic. See - Glass Art Nouveau to Art Deco- Victor Arwas p282.
