An early 20th century Kralik art glass vase. It is in the'brown pulled loop' design which is one of the most sought after patterns and quite scarce.
The vase has the pulled loop decoration and an iridescent layer to the exterior, a clear and mottled glass main body and an opalescent layer to the inside. This builds up the colours wonderfully and gives a great effect. Body wise it is of a flattened disc shape with a long drawn neck which expands a little just at the top.
The base is also covered with the loop pattern which is done very well. It dates to the Art Nouveau period around 1910.
Good order with very minor wear only. A couple of patches to the topside where the iridescence hasn't taken (from production). Height: 18 cm (7 inch) Width: 13 cm (5 1/8 inch) Weight: 394 grams (before packing) Stock Code: 0718 AG17-2.
