In good condition, slightly uneven base. A fine antique painted portrait bottled shaped vase of Etruscan style and popular around the mid 19th Century. The vase in white opaque glass stands on a narrow rounded base with a rounded bulbous body, tall narrow neck and wide flat rimmed top. The vase is hand painted in orange and black with gilding around the foot and top rim and is painted to the body with a side profile portrait of a lady wearing a garland of flowers in her hair within an ornate black scroll frame, a similar black scroll design pattern painted to the opposite side. The vase has a snapped pontil mark to the base and has a painted 16 mark.
