Loetz Papillon Art Glass Vase with Applied Butterfly Prunts Description and Item Information Up for sale is this wonderful and whimsical antique Loetz art glass vase. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This spotted, iridescent Papillon vase a folded rim. On the sides are three applied butterfly-shaped prunts. This piece stands approximately 6 3/16 inches tall. The maximum length is about 5 3/8 inches. This has a polished pontil area beneath, as made. Unpacked, this piece weighs about 1 pounds 4.9 ounces. It would be a fine addition to a collection of European art glass. Identification This authentic Loetz Papillon glass vase has an acid-etched, rectangular "Made in Czecho-slovakia" marking beneath, within the pontil area.

This particular acid-etched mark was used post 1918. This piece is antique, likely circa 1920s. Condition The vase has no chips or cracks. It has very light wear, with some fine scratches beneath. The interior has minor soiling inside from use, which I have not tried to clean.
