Victorian Art Glass Vase Description and Item Information Up for sale is this beautiful, antique art glass vase. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This cased glass vase is bright yellow on the exterior and pink on the interior; in between the colorful layers, there is a layer of white glass. The crimped and ruffled rim has a clear edge. Hand painted enamel decoration on the exterior depicts birds and leafy branches. This piece stands approximately 7 3/8 inches tall, and the maximum width is about 4 inches. Unpacked, the vase weighs 1 pound 2.6 ounces. At the center of the base, there is a round polished pontil area. This lovely vase would be an excellent addition to a collection of Victorian art glass.

Identification This vase is unmarked, and the maker is not known. It is antique, likely circa late 19th or early 20th century. The exact age is not known.

Condition The vase looks very good overall, with no cracks. There is a tiny (1/16 inch) fleabite to the side of the foot. There are some wear scratches beneath, as expected for old glass. To the lower side is a deep but short scratch (about 1/4 inch long) and a tiny (1/16 inch) abrasion. As made, there are a few tiny dark spots and a small dimple.
