W hand enamel florals and air-trap diamond quilt design. Comes from a fine glass house, due to the wonderful ground pontil.
The quadruple plate frame is by Hartford Silver Plate Company of Hartford CT. They were in business from 1881 to 1893. This fits the same era of the beautiful hand blown art glass celery vase. It is fully enhanced by a clear frosted glass ribbon ruffle in the shape of a diamond/square. These two pieces are a stunning combination together!
CONDITION : The vase has no open bubbles, or chips /cracks/ or nibbles. The enamel is all present. I do see some light scuffing from the frame, but have not tried to wash or clean it.The frame is HEAVY, sturdy, no missing elements and (by observation) I believe all silver is present. The photos do not present the correct color, no matter how I try. If you would like better photos of the frame showing the silver better, please ask. At this time, I'm at my max 12 on the listing. I know the purchaser will be thrilled with this beautiful vase!
