It was created by Jobling in 1931. It went into production in 1932. Joblings only made these for a very short time. It is called the "Bird and Corn Vase" VERY RARE!! It dates to the Art Deco Era - 1930s.
It has Really Pretty Flying Birds/Swallows Amongst the Bullrushes and Corn. Created by Lalique Glass Maker - Etienne Frankhauser. In 1931 Jobling asked a Lalique artist to produce designs for their new range, its not known who the artist was.
Six of his designs were used including the "bird & corn". The moulds were made by Etienne Frankhauser who also made moulds for lalique, Sabino & Hunebelle. The designs went into production in 1932.
Due to it's size many cracked during the annealing process so they reduced the mould size, making this original larger size hard to find. The Vase is made of Frosted Glass in a Soft Blue Colour. I have shown it next to a coffee mug to give you an idea of scale. PLEASE SEE MY VINTAGE POTTERY. If you have any questions could you please ask BEFORE purchasing.
