This studio glass vase features a spiralling form with grey, orange and white pastel shades using the pezzato technique (characterised by patchwork-like sections). Signed and dated on base, with design number (hard to read). CHARLIE MEAKER GH 208 1982'. Excellent condition - no chips, cracks etc. US-born, Meaker moved to the UK and was a professor at the U.

Design work during this period for Dartington Crystal, Devon. He later moved to Copenhagen, Denmark. His works can be found in the V&A and Corning Glass Museum collections.
