Elme Glasbruk Mid-Century Modern Art Glass Vases Designed By Carl-Olof Borgarp

  

This stunning pair of mid century Swedish designer glass vases was made in the 1960s by the factory of Elme Glasbruk and designed by the acclaimed, Carl-Olof Borgarp. A true classic of mid-century art glass design and they are in excellent condition.

The pattern is known as Peacock and features an extraordinary abstract motif around the main body of the piece in a vibrant mix of yellow and orange. The designer, Carl-Olof Borgarp took over Elme Glasbruk in 1962 and made his creations there until the factory closed just 8 years later in 1970. So, these wonderful vases can only date to that short period of production. A truly beautiful pair of mid-century modern art glass vases that would compliment any collection or interior. A real interior designers' piece.
