Gebruder Feix Persian Enamel Bohemian Art Glass Vase c. This is an extremely rare late 19th / early 20th century art glass vase by Gebruder Feix. Initialled GF to the inside of the rim.

Decorated with enamelled brass mounts in the Persian manner. The glass is engraved with an underwater scene of fish, weed, hermit crab, shells etc.

The Corning Museum of glass has another example with similar decoration. The vase has an old riveted repair, the enamel is hard fired & is hairlined inside the rim. The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
