1961 Whitefriars glass vase in Arctic Blue. Pattern 9488, attributed to Geoffrey Baxter and documented in the 1961 Whitefriars catalogue. The vase stands at approximately 23 cm tall with a top diameter of around 7.5 cm.

Or roughly 9 inches by 3 inches. And weighs about 921 g. The colour presents as a clear blue tone that shifts subtly in different lighting. It shares some qualities with alexandrite-type glass but is not identical.

And I have photographed it as accurately as possible. All visible flaws have been shown in the photos. Including a horseshoe-shaped ripple on one side. Two internal lines that can be felt only from the inside. Light age-related scuffs to the base. One tiny external scuff, a slither-sized fleabite near the base. And a small seed bubble typical of hand-made Whitefriars glass. These points are consistent with age and the known production characteristics of early examples. And do not affect the structure or display appeal of the vase. Buyers familiar with Whitefriars will recognise the authenticity. And rarity of this documented 9488 Arctic Blue piece. I have provided clear photographs to help assess the item. Including its dimensions, condition, and colour.
