Gorgeous Mt. Washington Crown Milano Art Glass Vase, Pansy Design, Mint

  
Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a FABULOUS Mount Washington CROWN MILANO Art Glass vase. Measures 4 3/4" high, 4 1/2" at widest with a 2 1/2 diameter base. This stunning vase has a matte/satin finish and is decorated with the desirable pansy design used on many of Mt. The enameled decoration is hand applied and the colors are a rainbow of pansy colors. The vase has a round, squatty body with slender neck and has two small handles. The handles are burnished gold with a gilded upper rim and foot ring.

The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Originally called "Albertine", the patent for this Art Glass was issued in 1893.

The name was later changed in the Mt. Washington factory records to "Crown Milano". The early examples of this glass originally had a paper label with some of the later pieces marked with the "C M" monogram.

Pieces with the Crown Milano monogram are much harder to find. This vase is pictured on page 127 of the.
