Guy Untrauer - Polychrome Blown Glass Vase - Signed and dated 1990. Elegant blown glass vase made by the French glassmaker Guy Grief, signed at tip on base and dated 1990.

Beautiful sculptural composition characteristic of late 20th century studio glass work: large emerald green glass horn, twisted central part and circular clear glass foot. The set is animated by hot applied amber yellow glass cords, spiraling around the body of the vase and highlighting its highly graphic construction. Glass transparency, variations in green, and twisted stem movement give this piece a beautiful decorative presence.

Dimensions: Height: 27 cm Collar Diameter: 6 cm Base Diameter: 8.5 cm. Signature: Engraved signature Grief, accompanied by date 90. Presence of a small missing on one of the yellow glass decorative cords, visible in photographs. The main body of the vase is in good condition.

Any minor irregularities and bubbles are inherent in the craftsmanship of blown glass. Beautiful piece of contemporary french glassware, interesting for an art, Studio Glass or design glass collector from the 1980s-1990s.
