Murano Cenedese Sommerso Glass Lamp Base c1960s Vintage MCM

  
Dating to the 1960s this is an Italian mid century modern Venetian sommerso glass table lamp by the Cenedese workshop, with an inner body of bright red glass with a green base cased in clear, unsigned but un-mistakeably a piece by Cenedese (I have had quite a few signed and labelled Cenedese pieces in the past and know what they look like - this one may be by Antonio Da Ros, one of their principal designers). Measuring 24cm tall and weighing 1.8kg it is in excellent condition with just a small chip to either side of the top (where the fixture has been), and a couple of light surface marks; it will look amazing as a lamp again.
