Murano Style Millefiori Red Hand Blown Glass Vase Unsigned Vintage Vecchia

  

This Murano style hand blown vase is gorgeous. No chips cracks flea bites or flaws. One small scratch on the bottom from moving it around. I believe my mom bought this in Italy in 2004. I don't know if this is vintage or more contemporary.

She doesn't have memory of anything, except that the line to the Murano glass shop in Italy was too long, so she bought this nearby. It's not signed, and there isn't any paperwork. It is an interesting piece if you have never held one in your hands. This is very heavy and thick.

This is almost 7 inches tall which is a medium size, I believe, or small. A little asymmetrical, but it sits solidly. It has the millefiori look to it like the paperweights.

But they are just one dimensional. It looks like 3 layers of glass. The outside is clear, then the millefiori print glass, then red glass inside. I don't know how they do that but it gives it the 3D look. Whether you have it in natural light or in your display case, this piece catches the eye. I list this as Murano style because I don't have any proof that it's a real Murano.
