1937: a studio glass flattened bottle vase with button-top. Featuring a beautiful, bold, swirling blue wave-like pattern across the mid section and similar, but lighter pattern throughout. Approximate dimensions: Height 17.5cm by Width 13.5 cm and Depth 5cm.

Peter Layton is one of the founding fathers of British studio glass. He discovered the art form while teaching ceramics in the US in the mid-1960s, and has played a major part in elevating glass from an industrial medium to a highly collectable art form.
