Rare 1970s Mdina Malta Art Glass Knop Stem Goblet Chalice Vase Unusual Colour. This stunning piece is a beautiful and rare example of the popular goblet design by Mdina Glass. Usually seen in the classic blue and sandy yellow Sea & Sand pattern, this unique piece stands alone with it's dark midnight blues, purples and deeper yellow colours. Another thing that makes this piece so special is how the pattern is continued over the already slightly amber tinted knop stem and base. I haven't been able to find another in this colourway but that's not to say they aren't out there! Though a piece like this with it's nuance and originalities will make a wonderful addition to any collection. Condition is'Used' - Good Overall Condition. Some small scratches in one area just under rim as photographed and a small manufacturing inclusion that feels raised but smooth on inside of chalice but flat to surface and smooth on outside.
