Rare 90s Ajeto Gemelli Czech Cìtrine Art Glass Vase Tazza Signed Borek Sipek

  

Very good clean pre-loved condition - no cracks, chips or nibbles - please see photos as form main description. Approx H29cm x D10cm (vase rim) x D16.5cm (tazza rim) / W816g. Wrythen glass with bullicante middle saucer. Signed by Borek Sipek and dated 1998 (photo 4).

Borek Sipek (1949 - 2016) was a Czech architect and designer. He was renowned for his individual, unusual and colourful style. He experimented with unexpected and often opulent shapes. This vase was created for Nestle (photo 2) and named Gemelli (twins) as it can be used as a vase or bowl. During his 16 year partnership with Ajeto Glassworks he created nearly 150 glass objects.
