RARE SIGNED VENINI ITALIAN MURANO ART GLASS PROMOTIONAL ADVERTISING VASE 1967. EXCEPTIONALLY RARE AND DESIRABLE SIGNED VENINI PROMOTIONAL GLASS VASE - COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL CARD. Presenting an exceptionally rare Italian Murano art glass vase produced and signed by the legendary makers, Venini as a promotional piece which was given to retailers of their art glass as a Christmas gift in the year 1967. This pressed glass piece has been crafted in a rich aubergine transparent purple coloured glass and features the companies name "Venini" raised in vertical script to opposing sides of each of the cylindrical shaped surfaces which are connected to form the figure eight profiled piece. The raised company name becomes almost like an ornate form of abstract decoration and is beautifully framed within a rugged bark like textured surface. The raised lettering and textured surface reflect the light spectacularly, while adding a fabulous tactile element to the design. This piece has been very well finished with a polished top rim. This exceptionally rare example is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The glass retains a beautiful sparkle with no frosting or clouding. This piece appears to have been stored away having never been used and presents spectacularly. This piece is beautifully signed to the base with an engraved "Venini Italia" mark. More amazingly, the original card which was delivered with the vase to the retailer remains with the piece. The card, keeping part of the story and history alive, reads Venini Ltd Wishes you a Merry Christmas 1967. With the prestigious address of "16 East 39th Str New York" printed below. (Minor dog ears to the card mentioned for complete accuracy). This superb piece measures approx 120mms tall, measures 70mms in width and 45mms in depth.
