Fabulous, enormous vase, made of sommerso blown glass, with inclusions of large murrine and gold leaf, made in the shape of a Roman amphora, signed under the base Louis C. Tiffany, therefore presumably made in the United States in the very early decades of the 20th century by Louis Comfort Tiffany for his factory Tiffany & Co. Useful information for the evaluation of the object. It should be noted, however, that the most valuable pieces are all heavily iridescent, feature gold luster, and are crafted in the Art Nouveau style.

Our vase does not resemble most of Tiffany's production, although we have found some simpler vases, such as ours, that include murrine. For this reason, the asking price differs significantly from the average prices of Tiffany vases, in addition to the fact that we have no documents that definitively certify the vase's authenticity.

Nevertheless, it remains a truly beautiful vase very large and heavy and the signature appears to have been executed in a single, confident stroke, without hesitation, and even bears a certain antique patina within the groove. Louis Comfort Tiffany (New York, February 18, 1848 - January 17, 1933) was an important American artist and designer. He is famous for his Art Nouveau creations in tin-bonded glass mosaics, known as Tiffany glass. He was also a painter and designer of jewelry and furnishings.
