Prior to working at Steinschönau glass where he became a director. In 1909, Beckert was appointed the first and only artistic director at Loetz, which soon declared bankruptcy in 1911. Beckert is best known for his engraved and acid-etched work, often with applications, the bulk of his oeuvre was the enameled gold and black ('Schwarztot') glass that he produced while in Steinschoenau. Steinschönau is now called Kamenický Senov.
The vase is in good antique condition but with a small rim loss (pictured), no further issues. Size: 14 cm high, 13 cm dia More glass items in my store.
