This vase has an overall blue iridescent finish, with areas that have a yellowish luster. The glass itself appears to be a purple color when you look through the bottom of the vase against a bright light source, but it displays overall as blue.

This art nouveau-style vase has fine threads of glass applied to its surface as decoration. It stands approximately 5 7/8 inches tall. The maximum width is about 4 1/2 inches. Unpacked, this piece weighs 1 pound 0.5 ounce. The basal edge is ground flat and polished.

This would be a fine addition to a collection of American studio art glass. Identification This vintage Donald Carlson piece is marked and dated beneath, as shown, carlson 95.

Condition The vase looks great overall, with no chips or cracks. It has very light wear, with some very fine scratches to the base.
