Tall Kempton Victorian Blue Opalescent Ribbed Trumpet Art Glass Vase c1890

  

A tall Victorian Charles Kempton blue opalescent Arts & Crafts glass vase with wavy rim, the ribbed trumpet shaped body sitting on a domed ribbed folded foot with snapped pontil, c1890. Width at rim (widest point). Glass is excellent, no restoration, chips, cracks , small amount of staining in the very bottom of the vase, some silica inclusions left over from the manufacturing process, signs of wear commensurate with age and use.

These vases are often mistaken for Whitefriars who were making similar coloured vases at the same time. I have 4 more of these vases in different colours and heights currently listed.
