Vintage Czech Chribska Twisted Art Glass Vase by Josef Hospodka c1970 9 Large

  

This stunning Czech art glass vase was designed by Josef Hospodka for Chribska Glassworks around the 1970s. Featuring a dynamic twisted form and vibrant ruby/blue color, it's a classic example of mid-century Czech design.

Beautiful clear and ruby-blue swirl base. A few tiny air bubbles in the glass from the original blowing process. Some fine hairline scratches inside the base, visible under light.

Chribska, founded in the 15th century, became renowned in the 20th century for its bold, hand-blown art glass. Josef Hospodka, one of its leading designers, brought movement and expression to his work, and this vase is a great example of that style.
