Vintage Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso Oriente Bowl Description and Item Information Up for sale is this rare, vintage Murano art glass bowl or dish. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This complex piece has a patchwork of colors, with copper aventurine patches. This diminutive bowl measures approximately 4 1/8 inches long, 3 1/4 inches wide, and 1 1/2 inches tall. Unpacked, it weighs 12.7 ounces. This piece will be a fine addition to a Venetian art glass collection. Identification This unsigned piece is vintage Murano art glass which was made by Aureliano Toso. This is from the Oriente line, which was designed by Dino Martens. Condition This piece has no cracks. The rim has wear including some scuffs and abrasions; there is a tiny (approximately 1/16 inch) flake, as shown in Photo 7.

The bowl has other scattered wear scratches and scuffs; a scuff area to the side is shown in Photo 6. As shown in Photo 4, the base has wear scratches, as expected for vintage glass. There are scattered, tiny dark marks to the rim (see Photo 2).

Some tiny bubbles in the glass are as made. Also as made, there is a remnant rough pontil mark beneath, within the round, polished pontil area (see Photo 4).
