First picture best shows colors. This is a vintage hand-blown art glass vase/ rose bowl from Vitrix Hot Glass Studio. Featuring a unique abstract design in purple, green, and blue colors, the vase is shaped like an organic leaf or feather. The glass vase has a fluted and confetti-like pattern, making it a visually striking piece of decorative pottery and glassware. Ocean, Heliotrope and Earth Emerald. These beautiful bowls and vases-which are a combination of swirling color and an amorphous, free-form shape-are evidence of how glass artists use gravity as a tool to add a sense of movement and style to their art. While still extremely hot and malleable, Tom Kelly and his team get the glass to just the right shape and size before inverting it, deliberately forcing it to flop toward the floor.

This technique requires a lot of practice and excellent timing, adding an elegant wavelike or scalloped shape to the vessel. Ranging in size, each item in the scalloped series is unique and will vary slightly.
